Okay just some fun today, I have yet to get a real crb, it is not because I am cheap or dont believe in them, I think they are one of the best prescrubbers, hair grabbing soil digging tools around.

I am always testing looking at things a little differently, one of my only complaints is the fact that you end up with all these hair balls that you have to go back and suck up with your vac hose, some yes will go up a glide but if you are running a hole glide forget it.
Also even though they can dig the deepest of debris out of carpet where does it go, Im talking about the sand and grit. I know it gets trapped up in the housing between the brushes but not all of it, and even more so after the unit has been packed full.....thus the hairsand balls that start coming out all over the carpet.
What I really think will take the crbs of today over the edge is having a vac port somewhere on the machine even if it is only a 1.5 hose. I think this would really come in handy for guys that are using them just for prescrubbing there prespray into the carpet.

I know as soon as I buy one it is gonna come out it is just my luck.

I had some fun this morning and thought I would post some pics

Two bedroom unit I put a brand new bag in my vac and filled it up

Next I presprayed all the carpet and then took my gutted vac that I scrub with and hooked my vac hose to it. Put a brand new white liner in my Dev filter to see what I would get

This is what made it to the filter Notice it is not super wet or super Dry it is just a little wet from scrubbing in my pre spray and this is what came out during that process, the good thing is not one hairsand ball was left behind.

Here is a picture of how much it changes the carpet before I even start to wand out

A quick pass with the wand WITH my hole glide

This is a picture of my filter after all is cleaned. This was ALL picked up AFTER a very good prevac I did NOT cut corners. I also want to say this is with our own fabricated HOLE glide. I know it is hard to tell but there was a lot of crap in there after I filled up a vacuum bag full of crap....this was only a two bedroom UPSTAIRS unit

Hey Tommie, did you ever try and pre scrub with your "twin Turbo Cat" or you rather have the power brush of a vacuum to power it?

I remember getting zapped quite a bit when using my old twin head powerwand.... If I touched a metal threshold, I'd get zapped....

Hey Tom, I have made an adapter for my Certified pile-lifters to do the same!I removed the vac unit on top and had a metal plate fabricated to cover the port where the motor sat. Works great. No shocks with just the motor driving the brush, and your filter ATM.

Tom, is that the only Vacuum cleaner you have? If so, is there any way we could talk you into investing in a better one before you get a CRB?

If you have a CRB you don't need a vac

A good vac is all about the brush roll. The crb has two good ones and they bring most of it to the surface. What's left is loosened for easy removal. I don't use glides

I have been shocked more by my RV DHX than this vacuum setup?? I don't know why but sometimes it becomes a cow prod

Tom, stop playing with your dumpster finds and get a real CRB. You're driving me nuts. Wanna borrow mine for a day?
When I do I had better be completly blown away and get far better results.....if I don't I am going to be very disappointed. Just sayin

Don't bother. It's just another MB fad.
I have one and it sits in the corner.

This is the thing I know what I did is red neck as can be, I get that, but I have have been very bummed at some of the things I have bought over the years. I don't have a ton of money to throw around due to how much we put back in the stuff we prototype...there is other things that we have tried to do that just don't really work, so we just come to a point and say no more. I also try and honestly think about the guys out there and I don't want to come out with something that is going to bankrupt me.
This is the thing whan I went and groomed this carpet out I had almost NO shiznit flipping out of the carpet fibers as I groomed it out, that is what shocked me the most and why I made the comment about a vac port on a crb.
I am only going by the end results that I noticed.
If I ever did a crb type machine I would put a vac port on it.

I always vacuum with the best vacuum on the planet, and almost always follow up with your wand. That is almost always enough. However, once in a while I'll run into one that is just way overboard nasty and I'll use my XL. It always digs the extra hair and sand out.

I am leaning more to a RV and the BH than the crb, like you say when you get the nasty one you XL it, so just one less thing in the van. I would rather have the RV that is overkill on most but when you come up on that one job that needs it.....it is in the van and ready to go.

I have a account that I HAVE TO USE my DHX....I am so over that thing but It stays on the van just because of that exact reason, nothing really gets it clean I have tried and even though I love my wand...It just cant cut it even with 175 and nuked prespray.

I have a gut feeling the CRB won't either, I have tried my red neck set up on them and it did help but not enough to keep the DHX back in the van.

I have modded my RV DHX it doesn't overwet the carpet, but it is very SLLLLOOOOOOWWWW and I really hate the center wheel stripe
