Did a job today, really unremarkable from my standpoint. Living room, dining room and a set of stairs. 10 year old nylon carpet, lots of kid drips, food stains, etc. Customer got me from google. Liked my website and decided to try me out instead of one of the larger companies. Easy job, prevacced, presprayed and extracted, then groomed. All the stains came out and the carpet looked great. Customer marveled over the fact that I groomed the carpet after I was done. Had never seen that before. In his mind, that makes one of the elite cleaners. Probably be a customer for life now. Sometimes, it's just the little things.

But then I felt Ed York's ghost tap me on the shoulder and heard him whisper, "you fooking hack, this carpet ain't been cleaned since 1980, go grab that whirlykabob thing in that fancy van of yours and do the right thing"

Between that couch set and that carpet, I warned the customer to not have pants on when she opens the door...
