I could never use sodium percarbonate because it would foam up too bad. The other day I mixed some powerstrike and sodium p (about 6 oz in my hydroforce) with cold tap water and it disolved pretty easy and did not foam at all. On the job I ran my machine for a few minutes while setting up the hoses so the water would be HOT. Will the hot water from the machine activate the sodium p or does it need to be mixed with hot water before hand so it will convert to peroxide? Am I just wasting it or will it help?

I agree with Eric.

If your solution is hot, and you can get the Sod Percarb Dissolved cold, you are good to go. The only reason you would want the mix water hot is to get the powder dissolved, but if you can get it done cold... and then heat it last step.. 8)

I have that problem too. If i use hot water to mix it, it foams up like mad. And dont shake it! I actually prefer liquid peroxide.
