Amazingly had this happen today again...rental unit tenant moved out a few weeks ago. Another lost. This time all I did was prespray and red blueish just started to grow larger and larger, AMAZING! Inspected prior to start and nothing visible but dirt on light beige. Can’t figure what it was. Spread the fibers and what ever it was ran down to the primary backing. Must have been cough syrup dye hidden deep within covered by the dirt? Tried every thing again. Got a little lighter but that’s it...Would not budge. Everything rarely works. Hard to say what will work without being there and in no way am I criticizing you but I would try a tannin/reducing agent first, let dwell 15 minutes, neutral cleaner and rinse then 40 volume peroxide. If nothing changes, at least you've tried. If it has faded, apply a 2 part peroxide/ammonia product and check back the next day. Looks like it should come out but looks are sometimes deceiving.

Dumb question, why the swirl marks? Is it from prespray, rotary, or bonnet?
