Well I got my package..

LOL,

Mind you this program is reserved for the highest volume users.

So they have turned me into a sales person for square up.

I now have a limited edition Tshirt.

50 square window stickers, 50 card readers, and a cardboard display case.

All is good, I just bought a house that needs some fixing up, so now I have a great painting shirt.

Yes, that is what the cardboard display case is for.

Anyone need a card reader.. LOL

I'll toss a few in the van.. I've had clients ask about the program when I swipe their cards.

Do you get something if I get one from you instead of them?

How much are they. I might be interested.

Yeah. I'll offer them to anyone that asks. The readers ate packed in a cardboard wrapper with instruction on how to sign up. If I give them a reader they could start using the sameday.

I just thought it was funny how square made me think I was getting something special. Good marketing IMO.

Readers are free and free to sign up. Go to squareup.com.

When I signed up they had a 3 month wait for readers. Clearly they resolved that issue.

You need to install the sq app to your apple or droid product.

All is free unless you use it.

Then basic merchant fees..

Is there a monthly fee? Not sure if I understood what you meant with basic service fees. I am using trygopayment.com right now and just updated my fee structure with them. Not sure if this would be better for me. Thanks!

Fees only on the transaction.. no set up fee, no monthly fee nothing.

You are only charged a % of the sale, can't recall the rate.. but fair.. About what I was paying before, but also a $28.00 monthly fee.

Sq is free unless you make a sale..

It's 2.75% if you swipe it

It's over 3% if you have to type in the card number.

So a $10.00 transaction will cost 28 cents if you swipe it

But NO monthly service fees.....that's where it really wins because you will pay that per transaction fee no matter where you go.

3.5% + $.15 if keyed in...

2.75% swyped...

thats it, no monthly, no weekly, no rental...nooooooo nothing.....

and they are basiclly the merchant service...if i understand it right

So you use it 1 time in a month (lets hope its more ehhh). For say $100

it costs your $2.75 swyped, or $3.65, if you have to type it in to your phone....

thats it for the month...thats all it costs you...and in 1 day, you get an email stating your acct will be credited $97.25, and in 2 days its there....

Right.

Soon you probably won't even need the square deal.

They will have phones with sliders built in....or you'll be able to scan it with the camera.

Or now they have the ones where all you have to do is get near the card....the phones will have that soon I'm sure.
