SS 370 owners, are you sucking or draining your blower oil?

I use to have to vacuum out the oil from my Vortex when a drain bolt stripped out.

TOTAL PITA!
You never get it all out and it takes forever..

I was told I'd have to do the same with the GD on the 370..
The stubbornness in me found a way to drain.

Remove the header that goes from the motor to the thermal well and you'll now have access to the drain plug AND be able to McGiver up a funnel from a half bottle to drain

Put a nut on it not the valve.

I looked over the 370 at Interlink Friday. That small foot print is unreal.

If you extend the drain port with a hose make sure you put a nut on it, like a lawnmower would have. Not a petcock valve that could be jarred or bumped and you lose oil.

Every machine built by every manufacturer should have drain lines for everything, period. I had to add a fitting to my oil drain, 30 bucks, just to be able to drain it. It should of come with it. There is no way your gonna drain the oil in an 870 without making a mess. I haven't look at my blower drains but I will make them simple.

Why are you draining the oil this soon ???

Synthetic lube should be good for a year or two.

Thats one of the things White magic did right on my 1900. Drain lines on everything as well as a hinge on my hose reel so it just folds out of the way if I need to take the covers off for anything else.
