so what was the final result with this...

did it make the machine quieter ??

seeing how the stack is a muffler. (or can be a muffler).could one remove the silencer and just pipe it to the muffler in the stack.........

Good question Jim, I don't remember seeing a follow up post after seeing the pictures. Was that Damian's rig??

Logically in a residential area I think it would appear to be quieter by exhausting over our heads compared to dumping it under the truck. In a real congested area it still going to echo..

so then what would be the best way to shut it up

mine seems like it is generating the most noise from around the silencer area.......

Get a fake stack!

It still won't be any quieter, but, it looks cool as hell!

A 30 dB reduction is pretty significant.

Hope they come with a homing beacon, don't want to lose $65 ear plugs.

Are they comfy?
How about conversational tones, can you hear your tech screaming at you to turn off the truck cause there is a cat stuck in the 2.5" hose?

Walt Bush had a stack put on his, about $500 if I remember right. He said it did a great job.

Haven't seen Walt around lately??
