I'm going to put this out there so some one might answer (Scott Warrington).

I just started to use Stain Zone today and it is really soapy. Is it meant to be misted on stains or poured on. Does the soapiness matter? Thanks.

I'm not Scott, but here's what I do.

Mist it on and lightly brush it in to make sure the entire stain is damp. Worked for me so far.

I've been out of town at some meeting and away from the Internet.

You should apply enough Stain Zone to keep the stain damp until it is gone. Stain Zone works while it is damp. Nothing when it has evaporated and dried.

For many stains, a heavy mist is all that is required. Some stains take longer, a furniture stain for example. In those situations, you may need to saturate the stain or cover it with clear plastic so that it does not dry out prematurely.

There should be some foam, but no soap. If you get excess foam, you may be over-applying.
