How do you get rid of them.:icon_question:

Keep it seemly guys I am asking about silk rugs - they always seem to dry with a considerably harsher hand than any other rug type we have cleaned. I saw larry comments about a silk softener - who sells it, and how effective is it?

Any other methods?

Carding brush.... Tumble dusting..... I've never tried a liquid to soften a silk rug before.....

Hell, I was afraid to click on it.

Thought it might be a bag of diks or a picture of Marty.

I'm truly not sure which is more horrifying. :winky:

Plenty of brushing is the usual procedure.

Paul Lucas at Chem Max sells a silk softener that I have heard great things about. Never used it myself.

Bullsheeeet.... You were most likely eager to click as fast as you could.

In my opinion brushing is the way to get silk back to soft....but I also noticed that it pretty much never goes back to the original look and feel.

final rinse, whether by hand or rug washer should be slightly acidic, maybe around 5.5-6Ph. Usually leaves the silk, silky soft.
