Stockings for inline filters?

Hi,
I hear that a good way to avoid cleaning the inline filtersocks of the gunk after jobs is to wrap a woman's stocking around the steel mesh insert. I love that idea.Is there a particular type of women,s stocking that works best? Can they be bought in bulk to save on cost?

Great, thanks.I'll get some.I have the old style stainless insert, the one with the solid plastic disc on the bottom.The new style has a stainless mesh bottom. Should I drill a bunch of holes into the plastic to increase airflow?
