We have a local FB community page with over 9,000 members that we get a ton of referrals from. I loved the contest for critiquing Mike's new site and did the same thing on this page, but offered free cleaning for comments and feedback (person to be picked at random) and free bottle of spot cleaner to anyone that finds and posts an error.

Not really looking for the feedback per say, but people LOVE to be helpful and LOVE a contest. So it's driving a lot of people to our site - which is why I really did it.

Just put it up less than a half hour ago and already, have people commenting and finding errors.

Check it out so far.

This is why I refuse to buy into this type of stuff.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, Steve. Can you elaborate? Not sure why someone wouldn't want to do it if it creates awareness, generates people looking at your site and leads to jobs....

So far I booked an appointment for carpet, hardwood floor and tile and grout cleaning. She saw the post, thought it was a great idea, even though she didn't comment or participate.

False intentions in marketing.

Just like kayne west saying he needs money when really he just wants attention.

False intentions for personal gains.

That sounded better to me.
How is asking people for feedback about their website having false intentions? I think it's brilliant to ask the consumers what they like or don't like about your site. After all, they are the ones who would be looking at and using the site and deciding whether or not to use your services!

I don't know that customers want to take the time to watch videos. Some do I am sure, but the majority of people are usually in a hurry or on their mobile devices while out and about and don't want to use their data for something like that.
I would imagine the benefit would be the SEO aspect of it?
