Carpet is one year old. It's developed an orange stain where there was pressure form furniture-couch legs, bed frame wheels, etc. Not all areas that had pressure turned color. Any ideas what would have caused this? The legs/feet/rollers where black plastic and never caused issue before.

It sure looks like normal furniture stains but off plastic is unusual. Its rare but I've see plastic do that on vinyl floors before.

Were you using a high PH solutions? Maybe it leached some color off???

Have you tried Stain Magic on them?

Somehow the carpet got damp/wet - them cleaning, previous cleaner, dog piss, humidity, etc... The dye/stain is bleeding in to the carpet...

If clients put stuff back too soon it can happen. No tabs or blocks it's going to happen.

Depending on the type of stain used, these can be very difficult to remove...

It must be the compounds in the black coloring. ???

Never been cleaned. Somewhat humid location, not overly. Strange.
Concrete is porous and water vapor move through it, it was have reacted with the legs. Any other furniture like dressers or chest of drawers leaving discolorations?

No urine. Stains are on slab level and second story. All bed frame impressions had from no staining to light orange. Couch had the picture shown to no staining. Very strange. Didn't see any pressure points from heavy furniture other than listed. Carpet looks very cheap.

We've seen that problem here for as long as I can remember. The plastic rollers on bed frames turn the carpet a purple color. The humidity here is always high. We tab all plastic feet including desk chairs. We also have a problem with black rubber like what you would find on drums and walking canes. I tested bleach on a Q tip on the marks left from the rubber but it didn't budge. I've tested some pretty narly stuff under the beds without any change to the stain. I've damaged a little bit of carpet. Oops.

Plasterization it ended up getting called...

I have had brand new wheels stain brand new carpets from the off gassing of the plastic....something to do with the way the plastic was made...and curing...

Seems to be similar to what a rug will do to vinyl flooring....

I have one clients couch that the front left leg left a mark....and the right rear leg left a mark....on Berber....

Nothing I have found will remove it....safely.

It will even stain Teflon tabs...

It is the weirdest thing and the manufacturers of the plastic and reps for the furniture companies won't do anything when it happens...

Like I mentioned....saw it happen in brand new bedroom carpet (nylon) with brand new kids beds....

Some plastics will stain.
Also some clients (many) are not aware of spills, wet feet from the shower, the water cup on the night stand that spills, etc. And the husband won't fess up, if his life depended on it.
