Maxim KO'd this roofing tar stain that got on a customers carpet a few days after we applied it.

She was prepared to replace the entire carpet if we couldn't get it out. (I know it doesn't look like much but you know how tricky tar is).

To my surprise the stain basically wiped off using nothing more than a dry rag and a little soap. Then, rinsed with a SS upholstery tool for good measure.

Normally, I'd say we got lucky. This time, I believe Maxim Advance did what is was supposed to do.

Anyhow, I'm charging a dime-A-foot to apply fabric protector. How much do you charge?

What does it cost you to apply per ft?
Thanks for the input everyone!

You're gonna laugh at these numbers but they are accurate.

Here is a pic of a half full Ryobi of Maxim taken today. The sprayer was full before my assistant applied it to 490 sf of deep pile carpet and a half flight of stairs. So, we'll call it 500 sf to half gallon RTU. Or, 1 gallon RTU per 1000sf of carpet. That is our normal coverage using the ryobi with a 8015 t-jet.

Maxim has a 4-1 dilution ratio and costs 60 bucks per gallon.

Can anyone answer Mikey's question please?

I'm wasted.

Doesn't sound like you're putting down enough. Traditionally, we use an 8004 jet, theoretically to get the right size droplets as recommended by the manufacturer.

Cobbs 20-1 for $80 that’s 21 gallons 200 sq ft

Covers 4100 sq ft about .02 a foot probably doesn’t have stain blocker.

And is less effective.

But if you don’t really push this stuff

$15 a room you can still make money

4-1 dilution ratio = 4 gallons RTU. 4 gallons RTU = 4000sf coverage. Divide 4000sf by 60 bucks.

$60÷4000sf=$.015

One gallon of concentrate should cover 1200 sq. ft. of residential carpet. Maxim is more concentrated and goes further than many competing products that cover 1000 sq. ft. per gallon.

Price will vary from $57.80 per gallon when buying 1 gallon at a time to $46 per gallon if buying 4 cases.

Pick up in store for no shipping cost or no shipping on orders totaling $350 or more. (About 8 gallons)

Cost of the product will be between 3.9 and 4.8 cents per sq. ft.
