That's why you need a good quality urine UV light. Let the customer how serious it is.the real problem is that the customer is only aware of two or three spots so we go ahead and subsurface extract them. When in reality it probably looks something like what you show. we only have to go on what the customer tells us so we are bad?
PS Personally, I try to explain this to a customer first but if they still want it done..... I only do a couple a year anyways.

it was so bad, the subfloor was soaked in areas and floor joists were stained.
subfloor had to be replaced and joists sealed
not a low rent joint either (2 bd townhouse that rents for $1600 month)
