Mine met my dad while on tour of the U.S. from Belgium.

She raised her three boys and got divorced during the Geshtalt Therapy craise.

Had a few jobs, finishing up as a manager for TRW.

Now in a nursing home.

Mom was a kind ole soul, she was hard of hearing (aka "can't hear" for you dumsumbithes). AS she got older she began to get on my nerves clanking hr coffee cup with her spoon little too much. She would call me but she could never "hear" what I was saying. Nerve wracking and she would hang up on me. Finally I drove her up to boot hill an said , "Mom you gots ta go" and with that she smiled and jumped in the hole and I threw some dirt over her.

Before any of you bastards judge me..................that's what we do up in here.

My mom died from breast cancer when I was in my early 20s; my dad died a few years later from a broken heart. She was nice. I miss them both.

Mom still here in her late 70's, can't remember shit, but I love her. I'm the only child of 4 who live near her. I bring her medication every morning, get her to set in the sun, drink some good water and chat.

My aunts tell me I used to be playing outside with my cousins and would run in to my grandma's house, hug and kiss her, tell her I loved her and haul ass back outside.

I called her this morning and wished her a happy mother's day.
My mom and her husband of 30 years are headed for Alaska in their motor home.
They are going to be gone for 4 months.
Both are in their late seventies.

my mom is 75 and stubborn as a mule...i bet the mules say "as subborn as my mom". She was a nurse's aid when she was 19 and since then thinks that she is really a registered nurse. she will not listen to logic or common sense unless is also coincides with what she thinks.

I told her at 50 to start a stretching program and i would show her how. nope didn't do it and now can barely walk. she wouldn't even start to walk around her neighborhood because she was worried what they might think......she hasn't talked to any neighbors down the street for 20 years.

I know she loves us alot but she works overtime to be a pita, and then just laughs if we bring up her being stubborn. So she is tooooo stubborn to admit to being stubborn. but have to say my dad is like that too. what a great combo to grow up with.

God has taught me a great lesson not to think I know everything and to value other people's advice. I am a better person for doing that. lucky for me i am very logical and have lots of common sense. and I'm only stubborn when i know I'm right. hahhah

Just got off the phone with my mom. Both my parents in their late 70's. Mom was head cook at our school District for years, Dad is still a bus driver for the school.

My mom is now working at the school as para for kids with special needs.

Both parents keep going... Mom most crazy of the two you could say... Lol

As I watch my parents and see what I could become... I am preparing myself... And the others around me... Lol

My parents live about 3 hours away so I don't get to see them often, but I call them during the week to keep in touch...

They just got smart phones and are waiting for one of the granddaughters to come home this week and show them how to text.... Don't know if that is good or bad yet :)

Mom is a cancer survivor, so after that scare, life is more precious everyday.

My wife family just lives a mile away and sometimes she is good with that and sometimes... It is a challenge... Lol

And all the daughters live in town, so we look forward to driving them crazy too :)

I'm one of those fortunate people to be able to work with her errday... Not a day goes by when I see her that she doesn't get a hug and kiss from me and told that I love her... She's been my best friend that knows everything but never judges... The one who holds the family together... Makes the world's best Lasagna, banana bread, wonton.......... People ask if she's my sister... Just had brunch with mom, dad and gf's parents too...

Mom was a musician. Worked in several of her family's businesses and learned a lot about people. Played pro baseball for a short time back in the days of "league of Their Own." Even when she was older she was willing to try anything. Spent afternoon sitting on the drop of a dunk tank at fair when she was 78. Very active in community service and her missionary work up until the day she died of aortic aneurysm at 82. Great and loving role model.

been about 1 1/2 years since mom passed. She was know by mom by all the neighborhood kids growing up. She would always feed all my friends everyday when we were growing up. Her and my dad left Nebraska to come to Oregon. They were married in Wyoming on the way over, Mom lied about her age to get married. Found this out after she passed while looking at birth and marriage certificates. Dad passed away 27 years ago.

They even had those glamor pitchers way back in the day. Spent many years looking after her. Her birthday was last week.

Rest in peace mom

My mother married my father in 47 had me in 48. For the first ten years my father traveled and we had a total of 4 kids. Once he stopped traveling we had 10 more including 2 adopted. My parents were an Catholic Services emergency home for abused children. We always had an extra 2-3 kids that would stay for 1 night up to 5 years.
My mom will turn 87 next week and is the most active 87 year old I have ever seen. Did I mention she is an amazing woman?
