I've had two sets of 2.5 for over a week and aside from some incompatibility issues wiht the old and new design with females staying on 2.5 starters, they are great!

THEY DO NOT COME APART< ARE EASY TO USE<DON'T HAVE ANY LEAKS WORTH NOTING AND DON'T MAKE YOU DEAL WITH A CONTROL FREAK TO PURCHASE.

Today I got the rest of what I needed..

I found the 2.5 to 2" reducer..

That's good to know. Not fond of control freaks myself.

Let us know how they hold up after a few months.

I can hook the 2.5 hose straight to the filter box..or the 2.5 reducer.....

Jim, do you have an example of when you wouldn't want to use the 2.5?

the Mytees worked great the first week too.

The cuffs I got when they first came out, don't fit the ones I ordered a month ago. Can't even get the new ones to screw together.

anything under 100 feet..........

my hose reel is set up like this.........

two 50 sections of 2 inch and 100 feet of 2.5 inch..the 2.5 is broke up into 25 foot sections....because I don't want to pull off more then I need...then there is another 100 feet of 2 inch under that..( but it only gets pulled out when I do the school ).....

about 50% of the time I only need the 2 inch....25% of the time I may need all the 2 inch and 25 foot of the 2.5 inch......and the rest of the time I will pull all the 2 inch and 50 feet of the 2.5........

anything under 100 feet....your only wasting your time pulling 2.5 inch hose...anything over 100 feet...it really helps......

Mine is about like that to......though my 2" is about 80' and all my 2.5 is 50'...though to break up 2 of the 50s to 25s might not be a bad idea.....

my solution is 130 and hits 90% of my jobs.....

oh and i got another 100' of 2.5 under, so a total of 200' of 2.5 and 80ish of 2"
