The Almighty Bayco Relief Valve

So, what's so great about it.
Noticed mine was leaking a little (Free Flowing) around 12-13hg
so I cut the warranty wire and disassembled it.
It is just a spring and disk just like any other relief valve I have had.
Nothing precision about it
but costs 2-300 bucks depending on where you buy them.
But the kicker is you have to send them in for repair.
They say field repair could result in severe injury or death.
Come on, anybody could change the disk and spring in it when they get worn.

You can adjust them yourself, but they don't recommend it because it's all under tension and if you aren't careful a spring (or piece of spring) in the eye could be a bad thing.

The Kunkles are easier to adjust, but the Bayco's hold up better.

I'll see if I can post it. I like the SW valve because the "guts" of the valve are up out of the waste tank airflow. And I have it mounted on a coupling that raises it even higher. It just seems to relieve better than the Genesis original valve.

Meat is right....SW valve is a best value. I have mine mounted right on top of the waste tank in place of the original Powewrclean valve. On the Powermatic, it is mounted right above the blower plumbing, just before it enters the waste tank.

The Bayco worked fine till the spring got weak.
Had it set to pop @ 15" and would hold 14.5" when open.
What pisses me off is you can't just order a new spring and disk when they wear.
You have to send them in for repair.

Oh well, I just bought a brand new 15" Kunkle valve for fifty bucks on EBAY
Somebody didn't know what they had.
