Both of them seem like a solid work horse. I've used the Titan myself, and I love that setup. But the Apex has a strong back also. Who's used both? Or who had to choose between the two and why did you choose the one over the other?

Which one does you local distributor sell? Apex is a good unit, I don't know enough about the Titan to compare.

Contact Doyle Bloss with Hydramaster, he is a straight shooter. Laura Ortbahn also with Prochem, she won't lie to you...me yes. You no.

Hey now Cowboy. I never lie. I may not be nice. But I keep it real, son. (Insert hipster voice).

@Matt Wood give me a call if you have any questions for a pesky used car sales (wo)man as @Desk Jockey likes to refer to me as. Your question was directed to owner / operators and I have may have a sliiiightly biased opinion on which model I prefer ;)

I have a Titan 575, its now done almost 4000 hours, it has NEVER broke down & it has never had any faults apart from a them pump diaphragm.
It hasnt even had the belts off or even adjusted yet .
The heat is the hottest Ive ever seen on any truckmount.
It never dumps any water and has a full divert system inc blower exhaust.

If I were buying another machine it would definitely be another 575.

The el Diablo , PC 650 , SS 870 and Aerotech were all 20 degrees or more hotter at the wand. Still in it's range it's awesome. Without an alternative heat source.

What temperature at the wand does the Apex hold on a normal carpet job?

Most beneficial path, is to go to the service department of the dealer that sells both and ask which ones comes back the least for repairs.

Dependability, in my book, trumps all the minor differences in water recovery and temp.

But then.........I've never been a glorified janitor :winky:

They seem to have the same motor and similar blowers, most dealers in SoCal push prochem but that's what they're used to working on.

True. We've been using Prochem for two decades. They've been very dependable machines even as they've aged.

People shouldn't use age to judge by! :winky:

Why would you want a machine with old HX technology that dumps water all the time when you could have a dump less system, meaning your fresh tank is effectively bigger and you can carry less weight due to not needing as much fresh water ?.

6 Flow on the Titan 575 is only 170 ? The 370 holds arounds 190 with 6 flow.... 400 PSI

Interesting. I would like to see the same chart for actual CFM testing.

Were you constant on or using on / off like carpet cleaning normally is ?

No other machine drops when going down someone needs to say maybe something is off with that.

Every 575 Titan Ive seen will hold at least 230 on 6 flow during normal cleaning, its the hottest .
I think that was either a type error, or a titan that had a bypass problem when it was shooting less water. When I used a titan with my mach12 at 6flow, I was reading 220 at the wand at 500psi. I never used a 12flow, so I couldn't tell you what that read

Kevin Fine the "Other" Prochem rep, the nice one! @laura@prochem He had an Everest running there in Atlanta.

Matt did you get a chance to use it on the test carpet? That puppy was screaming hot and had killer vacuum and it was 150 feet away.
