So, I received my new machine last Thursday morning.
I already know I need to improve it.
I used it on ONE JOB, for about 20 min, and while in impressed with the vacuum, the water pump, (220 PSI) is lacking...
The intake filter stack sits WAY to low to do any serious work.
The connection for the vac hose has NO way to diffuse the I coming water into the waste tank. It simply stops right at the lid....
I’ve already sucked water into the vac motors....
I’ve designed a few ‘improvements’, and am going to have them made up out of stainless steel.....
I have to measure, but I’m pretty sure the waste tank can only take about 4-6 gallons of dirty water before I need to dump.... poor design....

Supposed to be 10 gallons. Reminds me of my old truck force portable. They advertised 15 gallon waste tank but when you take into account the plumbing, it was only 9 gallons. Pretty stupid for a machine with a 22 gallon solution tank. That's the one that inspired me to build my own.

There is a guy selling a Mytee M5 near you. Go on cl and look up carpet extractor. In the pic it looks like it's missing part of the pressure regulator. The guy swears it's in mint condition but he's not a carpet cleaner. He took the machine in lieu of payment. Test before you ever buy. That machine may need some modification to run on 2 15 amp circuits but I think it's better than the monsoon. It's a big, heavy machine.

Not me, Ron. It might be the ugly van, though. Or perhaps the unkind remarks I sometimes find in public toilets.
