Ok,
I am considering taking this class and would like to hear from all who have taken it.
Money is not an issue...time is a bit of an issue but not much really.
Here is my issue.
Are they teaching what I already know? If I don't take the class...how will I know.
I have always been a proponent of "you regret what you don't do, not what you do".

But I still would like to hear what anyone has learned....without giving the actual class and screwing don Jon.
lol
Thanks

You never know too much. Go and i guarantee you will learn some great stuff. Many go more then once which is what I plan to do. I went 2 1/2 years ago and plan to do it again soon.

i have to tell ya that it was one of the best things frank and i did..knowing what i know about the class first hand i would have taken it sooner. it confirmed a lot of things we were already doing and made us stop on the spot some other things. and i mean on the spot..during lunch make a phone call and put a stop to a few things..
i feel sorry for anyone that has the means but will not take the class.the only reason i would not take the class is if i could not afford it..then i would buy everything from jondon and get it for free...
take the class

Definately worth the time to go!! Steve, Chuck and Billy will teach you more than you would think. The materials alone are worth thousands and seeing Steve do the cheerleader dance is priceless!!  .

I wished I would have gone sooner than what I did. Jon Don will treat you right.

Doug D.

ps. Whatever you do, you need to make sure you go on a beer run with Billy though!!! That was a riot!!

Doug,
Thats not part of the curriculum. But it was fun. If we had taken Scott there he amy not have gotten that great job in Utah. But when you are out of beer something has to be done. We do have that value added philosophy and I was the only one with a car.

So Steve T.
If I pay for the class then can't make it near the last minute...will you apply it towards another class?
Sometimes things happen.
Thinking about making the Dallas one with my Girlfriend...she's in the business with me. She has family in Dallas so that would work out.

I have never gone before but I have been reading about it for years now. I think its a class that offers great info, but it also gets you excited about your business again, a renewed since of intrest and motivation. I dont see why you shouldnt go, if you can make it.

Steve is probably out drinking umbrella drinks somewhere this evening so if you don't mind I will handle this one. Jon Don, regardless of the class. will refund your money if you can't make it or if you feel you didn't get your moneys worth.

Just as you look at the lifetime value of a customer so do we. Upsetting a customer for the price of a class tuition would be counterproductive to our goals.

Hope to see you in the Lone Star state.

I travelled thousands of miles to do it.

By taking notes, the instructors are continually building on each class.

It is exceptional value for money, BUT, you must implement what you learn.

Would I do it again :?: :?:

BLOODY OATH I WILL, when the Aussie Dollar has a bit more value to it.

Currently, US$1,000.00 is equivalent to AU$1,546.00

If I travelled next week, it would cost me AU$2,700.00 just for the air fare.

I will be back, if not next year, then definately the following one, 2010.

As John Travolta from Wild Hogs said "Money is not a problem, don't insult me"

Nike say's "Just do it"

"I might go ..." Wow, pigs are flying in Alabama tonight! This is progress of a major order, Terry. Now, let me address your entirely understandable concern ...

ODIN said:
I might go if they reduce it to 3 days max Just by cutting out half of island boys verb-age could do that

Believe it or not, Terry, that is what Mr. Sutley used to say- BEFORE he attended Strategies. Many people wonder how we can remotely fill five very long days. All I will say is we have totally torn down and rebuilt the class at least six times over the last 12 years. Every time we re-do it we take more out to focus on the key SFS strategies. (None of which have anything to do with the technical side of cleaning or restoration.)

At this point I honestly don't know what more to take out or what less to say in the seminar. SFS members, your suggestions please?

NOTE: The Cheerleader dance, Mrs. Doubtfire and Nick's after lunch jokes are all sacred and non-negotiable. In a seminar this intense we gotta have some fun.

Island Boy

PS For those still wondering what the heck do we cover in SFS just drop me a note at stoburen@homefrontsuccess.com and put the word "DVD" in the subject line and include your mailing address. I'll send you a free DVD all about the program. No charge- not even to Terry.

Brian, my sincerest apologies for not being a mind reader.

I don't know what you know, so I am unable to comment on this specifically, however, I am fairly sure that they have new content that you are unaware of.

Do the course to prove me wrong.

I find it fairly impossible to condense a five day course into a few notes on a forum post, without giving the actual course, huh ?

I have listened to three versions of SFS, all 3 were excellent, though sadly I missed Bill's part the last time.
I cannot for the life of me imagine Marty listening, let alone understanding more than the first half hour - I wonder if he'll ever go back for more.

I do not think that the material could be shortened by much, Jon Don's is a class act all the way.
You will never use all that you learn there unless you are as anal as Steve but the more that you do implement the better it will be for you.

Go!

Jon-Don runs a First Class Operation.

Odds are you will learn something that- IF IMPLEMENTED- will make it worth your time, and the cost, every single hour (probably more often then that).

If you are stuck in your ways, know everything already, and won't implement then stay home and drink beer.

If you will implement, then go a drink beer with Billy.

I got an email from Steve about it.
Looks pretty impressive.
I will have to give it a shot.

You will have a great time, Brian. Even better, if the motley crew posting their comments above could transform their companies with SFS think what a capable guy like you will achieve! (I love you guys too.)

Steve

PS Fair warning, Brian. We've increased our SFS seminars from 6 to 8 for 2009. (We'd do more but with Yeadon's advanced age I'm not sure he could handle the pressure. Oh, and I am supposed to be retired too.) However, we sold out every program last year early (sometimes as much as a month in advance) and I would guess this trend will continue for 2009. So don't hold off on calling in (800-400-9473 or call the local store) and reserving your seat(s). (Speaking of who to bring I highly recommend bringing your spouse/ partner/ key people with you to SFS. You will implement much more if you are all onthe same page at the same time.)

I was just gonna ask whether or not the little lady should come.
She's a little green in the CC dept. but we are looking at the business end anyway (not that business end).

Thanks Steve.

Yes, Brain, if your wife even remotely has any interest in the business you should attend together. That way she can furiously take notes for you while you gaze into the middle distance and think deep thoughts. (This was Mike's strategy with paula last year anyway.)

If you don't attend at the same time you will wind up sending her later and miss out on the synergistic impact of you both talking/ planning/ analyzing your business and life futures together.

IB

PS Without the missus you would also miss out on "other things" but since Sioux usually doesn't attend SFS with me I prefer not to go there. Five days can be a long time ...

Twelve years I have been waiting to hear about the SOB that went to SFS and said thi just was a waste of his money, time and his well being. I have heard nothing but praise, I have seen Miricles happen to some that swore they would never wear a Tie (Ken Larson shall remain my bud even if he lied!!!) Big Jim Woverton, (Yes he is alot bigger than me) of the JP pink letter fame was in my first class and he even shut up and listened.

Maybe part of the reason we never hear about the guys who thought the SFS class was a rip off was Pappa Nicks ties to a certain Italiano family that don't lika de winers. Or the money back gaurantee I have never hear of anyone using.

What gives?? Twelve years??? There gotta be a first???? I know billY came in as a mop up man, but I don't think he is hiding any thing either...

Oh by the way these are just my views on this subject!!!
Maybe Brian or HisTeeness fit that bill???

I also can speak on those topics of those attending and bitching about not implementing all that was learned, There is just to much good stuff!!!!.
