Gonna build a super "modular" porty.(The Redneck Rocket) Here's the pump on a cart. It's going in for some sheet metal work to case it in. Can't beat a General. Coming soon is the dual/quad vac recovery unit. I'm looking for some high volume 2 stages that can run 2 on a 15 amp cicuit. Suggestions Gurus?

With that size of motor, and (4) 2 stage vacs, you are gonna end up needing 3 15 or 20 amp circuits anyway. Why not do (3) 3 stage vacs instead ? I did not do flow test or test inches of Hg, however I could feel a definite difference on the end of a 2" 50' hose from 4 2 stage to 3 3 stage vacs. 2 of the vacs in series one in parallel. I completely realize the circuit of vacs will not be balanced, which may lead to premature vac failure. I would even contend that two high performance 3 stage vacs may out perform 4 2 stage vacs. I bet it would be very close and much less effort for set up, worry about circuit location, etc.

Willy;

These 2-stage tapered fan vac motors have 309 AirWatts each:

Of course the best 2-stage is this high performance model LMB5A:

It draws 12.5 amps in an extractor, but has 673 AirWatts.

Two of these in series give you the best performance for two cords.

The brushes are rated for 1500 hours also.
