Thermalwave freshtank

Friend bought a 2010 Thermalwave and wants to use a 55 gal freshtank.

I looked at the water supply system Tonite and it's above my pay grade.

Does it bypass regulate and where?

Or would it be easier to just run 12 bolt supply to the stock waterbox?

think it "bypasses" (the exhaust gets diverted) to the water box which has a thermal relief to waste
