Do you think that the weight of the machine is needed when padding? I've done a little spot padding with an Oreck 13". Seems like it coud be better.

NOt exactly new, but we have been selling them as "Institutional" machines to hotels and motels, but found it to be so easy to use, that we decided to offer them to carpet cleaners as well.

Greg, yes I sell the GEM except every time someone is going to buy one I show them what the OP can do, and they buy OP instead.

Side by side a million times and the CRB will not clean anywhere near as good as OP does.

I accidentally backed a van over my 17" floor machine and now it has the OP movement. Works great--much cheaper too.

Dirk, fiber pads would probably work the best for scrub and run, greenstripes work well too.
