Do you think that the weight of the machine is needed when padding? I've done a little spot padding with an Oreck 13". Seems like it coud be better.

Richard the 17" is the ideal size for residential.

Greg, yes I sell the GEM except every time someone is going to buy one I show them what the OP can do, and they buy OP instead.

Side by side a million times and the CRB will not clean anywhere near as good as OP does.

I accidentally backed a van over my 17" floor machine and now it has the OP movement. Works great--much cheaper too.

Dirk, fiber pads would probably work the best for scrub and run, greenstripes work well too.
