Throttle control...

My throttle is slipping when it's locked is there a way to tighten it? My TM has about 2,700 hours, is it time for a new one if so where can I get one (would like a turn throttle)?

I get mine from nappa truck/marine stores. They usually have them in stock and are about 1/3 the price from interlink.

The Napa # for the throttle cable I get is: 731-1103. Last one I bought cost $36.98. You will probably have to trim it.

The cable from Prochem is a bit more stout I think, but the Napa one is cheaper and should last a while if you don't abuse it.

Chris, what is it that we do that might be abusive concerning these cables? Is there something we should do to better maintain them?

Shane, usually people turn the handle too hard to lock the throttle in.

The best throttle I have seen is the one Power Clean puts on their machines; they are a bit pricey, but very nice.

Thanks Chris, It is an aircraft type throttle, expensive but high quality. We have been using them for over 10 years now.

They are $99.00 or somewhere in that range.

Jim, if Keith buys one I will be expecting a commission check!
