Any tips on cleaning this stuff? If I'm
Not mistaken it's part of the smart strand family.
They've had it about 18 months and has bad dark areas in the living room where the couch sits. I tried a few things with absolutely no success.
Was thinking of getting traffic slam and trying that.

I can't believe how bad it already looks and that my go to spray wasn't even budging it. Prozyme did nothing, added SP nothing.. tried a degreaser in a small area, nothing!!

I understand wear but to me it actually looks soiled.

Any tips would be so appreciated.

I think Tigressa is a low denier (very thin) nylon. Thin fibers tend to wear faster.

CRB with soft brush may hlep lift the pile.

Take a clean white towel and dampen with your cleaning solution. Wipe across the surface a ferw times. Soil transfer to the towel will indicate you need more cleaning. No transfer indicates wear.

Wwe would be glad to sell you some Traffic Slam, but I suspect that it might be wear. If it is soil, think higher heat and longer dwell time rather than different chemistry.

Another test is using a bright light. If it looks dirty with normal light and nice and bright with abundance of light, that means abrasion and these areas do not reflect the light as well anymore. They do with abundance of light because there's so much of it.

The towel that Scott suggested is simpler, but not as festive or as much fun

What Steve and Mike are trying to say is that in certain situations, a strong mechanical agitation, has its benefits. Sometimes that will be the only way certain soils will release.

Prozyme plus and agitation will break up that dingy look. I'd use stiff brushes but that's just because that's all I use.

Prozyme plus alone won't do it. I've gotten lucky a couple times by prespraying again after extracting once but nothing beats the crb for fixing traffic lane issues. Imo

Get an electric presprayer and a crb. You can carry then both into the job in one trip. Spray scrub and put them away then setup and extract.

It takes longer but the results are worth it. The extraction process goes faster so the van isn't running as much even though it takes a little longer.

It's a process i find very effective and repeatable.

And if Genny is with me I spray while she scrubs. Then I set up and start cleaning while she finishes and p uts things away. That way we don't lose much time.
