So I just cleaned this house today. everything tile, or laminate.

anyway, down stairs they had this area where the hot water heater leaked, and pooled in this area....

no one really knows how long it sat...

but it has whitened the grout, and had left the tile lighter to...though that cleaned up....

Calcium looks like that, and is something a water heater could/would have in it.

Wouldn't the water have to evaporate to leave that much behind? Maybe they did bleach it...

Treat it like "efflorescence" Use stone pro quick clean, or viper renew. Scrub in, dwell, rinse with a turbo.

Use a color enhancer on the grout lines. It will make them look brand new

Is it possible that the grout had been color sealed and the standing hot water removed it?
