Tires 10 ply?

I usually but ten ply, but what would it hurt if I bought 8 ply?
Besides the price difference? I don't haul much besides the tm and fresh water

My 2008 Express came with around 18K miles on it with 10 ply.

I've put on 5K miles since. I use a garden hose, dump daily..etc...

I pooch it. And the back tires have shown considerable wear compared to the front. If I had lesser ply tires I'd hate to seen the outcome by now, or soon.

I'm no tire expert, but I run 10 ply on my E350. From what I understand, the ten plys are rated for the extra weight the van carries, especially when carrying a TM and equipment. Running a lesser rated tire would be much more dangerous.

10 ply. Look at the load ratings.

I tried 1 ply toilet paper once. It had a break through revelation that I wanted something better.

IF your fresh water tank AND your waste tank were full, that would add an additional 1240 lbs to your vehicle. Not to mention the added weight of your TM, hoses, reels, chems, shelves and whatever else you carry on the truck.
It's your truck, and your life.

I had some older tires on, I believe they were one step down but since I had duallies I figured they would last. I had just ordered new tires, driving down the road and BANG
blew the tread out the bottom of the tire, not the side but the tread blew. Well, I "was" on my way to a job.
If I didn't have duallies, I would have needed a tow.

For the price difference, its worth having

I think water is 8 lbs per gallon, you do the math.
