if it was not called vortex.

How much would you spend on a truck mount that did the same?

How much in parts and labor have you spent on your 3/4 ton van with a 100,000 on the clock.

Now dont bs me i have family in the auto business....

My dad has customers with a half million miles on the cab overs...

anyone heard why its going down the road.

Jim's a smart guy; the fad is over; costs didn't pencil out; wanted a smaller truck with more usable space; saw the handwriting on the wall; getting out while there is still some value... Sorry about being flippant if the Vortex is your USP.

PS: The construction of the cab kills Japanese trucks long before the driveline is through, but at least the Soviet style cab of the UD doesn't have any fancy pieces to fall off.

Didn't realize that Jim had his Vortex up for sale?

it's listed in the garage sale rm, Billy
and you know it's has to be in tip top shape.
That's just the way Jim rolls

anyone that could actually utilize the capacity of a V, Jim's would be the one to buy

Nope, not for sale. These trucks are going to be with me for a while. We have been running them everyday lately. Tomorrow they go to UD dealership for their annual checkup.

The diesel pto platform would be more intriguing to me than the dual wand-ability. I'm feeling for my pto-van right now in this heat running all day...

Big truck and dual wand? Buy a Genesis D-XT and a Sprinter van. I think it would take a long time to wear either one out.

Ok amazingclean, why not? Are you sure you tried the diesel Genesis?

I know somebody in Oregon who HAD a V, sold it, and went with the Genny/Sprinter combo. And he told me he loves it.

Yep it's a bad mofo.

My guys have a whole new respect for it, last month we had 600ft of hose on it, smokin hot and plenty of power still. Ran for 8 hours straight in the high 90's without a hiccup!

With the slow death of the Vortex, I predict an new generation of these types of machines will be the new trend. :?:
