My last job today was a trailer home. Referral from 2 days ago. By far the best job today. Front door 15' from the van and carpeting is usually old builder's grade pile that is easy to clean and wow the customer. No need to tarp the entry way because there is none. People are usually more down to earth and appreciate your work unlike some snotty millionaires that expect you to perform miracles.

as Chris said, to cover hard flooring you have to cross to get to carpet.
Tile, hardwood, vinyl, if we have to cross it, we cover it.

Some guys like movers blankets, some guys use towels.
I think both those SUCK.

We prefer painter's canvas drop runners.
4ft wide and 15 ft long, they're idea.
(we also have a couple 4'x24' )
Those are idea for a flite of hardwood stairs

Buy good ones and they'll last forever.
good ones = pro quality, heavy wt, either 10wt or 12 wt cotton canvas.
Finished seams and all one piece.
The one at Home Depot or Lowes are NOT pro quality.
Buy Sherwin Williams best.
Tell 'em you want Pro-Buy pricing too

Oh yea, the Ms Phiff will love you using them too

Trailer custys

we have one we do 4 times a year.
It's an old 12x60 trailer.
The lady has high quality cut pile SNOW white nylon in the living rm.
She pays us a buck-thirty to clean her postage stamp sized lv rm and kitchen.
She always tips a ten spot too.
Has all the uph cleaned at least once a year, as well

We do her friends and family's homes also.
She's been a "cheerleader" custy for 14 years.

I like the sheets 'cuz up here in Yuppieville, I frequently have to cross 50 ft. of hard wood to get to a family room. They don't take up too much space, dogs love to piss on em though, for some reason?

I have found some type of moving blanket at Harbor Freight for around 7.00 or so.They are 3 x 6 or so...nice and thick. That way even when you put something on them;wand,rotary,whatever...it doesn't sound as if the floor is being damaged underneath, which is why I switched form those ultra-thin canvas painter things.

We use them all the of time;nasty weather days( like today),at bottom of stairs(to catch overspray) and in general to give piece of mind to the client,no matter what their income level is.

Pat, I think those wool HF blankets are on sale.
last time I was there I recall seeing them for $4.99

Chris, snow melt and water drips won't soak thru the 10wt canvas like it will with sheets.
15ft runners won't take up much more rm in the van either.
A couple/three of them will cover just about any situation you run into.

I just bought 3 more last week.
Actually, i bought the 24ft long ones cause they were on Pro-Buy sale.
I have a "preferred custy" pricing structure at SW too, cause we spend a bunch dough there.

let me know if you want some, cause my price will be better than you can get even on Pro-buy sale
