Still alot of work to haul your recoil all the way up to the units isn't it? And down, and lugging the water. I think I'll stay on the earth. Thanks Willy for that jab. I have plenty of homes, not a fan of high rises.

For some reason Willy needs post pictures every once in a while as to why he only has a portable.

Are the buildings getting taller? Something else changed?

Only problem with doing that kinda work.. Is the carpet stays cleaner much longer! Oh yeah and all the hauling of crap!

Pics are even dated in April.

It is kinda like Todd always having to let us know how big he thinks his stick is.

Geez, leave me outta this one.

I have a way of getting in trouble easily enough.

And stop talking about my stick unless you want to do some comparisons.

I don't think you do.

A bitter becker,- lose the toys?. Thing is, my city is going up, not around. Too many guys fighting over rooms at $19.95 with TM's And if you can find a one bedroom suite there under $200, 000 -we'll both make money.

Willy- You seem to think its better to clean in a high rise with a portable than to clean on the ground with a TM. It isn't. Join the big boys Willy.

YO Willy - I've got a lot of apartments where I am and I'll be targeting them soon with my Ninja. Any hints would be welcome as I haven't actually done any yet.

Doug- I could be in a tm tomorrow. I just don't choose to. It doesn't fit in where my market is and will be going. High rise luxury condos pay quite well, thank you. Look at that picture- 250,000 people and business areas galore, all within an 8 square mile radius. I can put $500 in my jeans and be home at 3 after a 9 o'clock start. While you may lack the vision to see the market, I don't. Do you walk on that kind of area? Why?

I could totally see the potential in that market. Actually looks exciting.
So what are some of the things you do/ have to maximize efficiency.
Is there underground parking?. How many trips to the truck before starting the job?. You carry a scrubber and a wand?.

You have a lot of competition, vlm or hwe?.

Oh come on Albert. What is the tallest building in your area?

High rise sucks ass. It does not get dirty fast enough.

Want a good market?

Search out the young families with 2-3 kids, a dog or 2.

Under 4 feet tall or 4 legged.. Best clients in the world!

I agree Willy has something going for him. But I think deep down he feels he needs to make it clear to us why he does not have a TM.

Heck Look at Claude. On day with the TM and he was sold on it. Even if it was not running.

Lots of nice flat work in Vancouver. But clearly if you target high rise a TM is not a tool for you.

And now as far as we know claude has passed away, and his pretend GF can't tell us because he has passwords on his computer to hide his photobucket searching.

Sure, driving up to the driveway is ideal. From what I'm getting it seems this is what's available to him. It does suck ass for me as well but that's because I don't do much of it and not set up for it. Could be a nice niche market with little competition plus the potential for doing halls and common areas for management may be there.

Everything comes at once, unless I scrub, then 2 trips. All have elevators and parking. Not a lot of quality oriented cleaners or competition, as that work isn't for everybody. But there is a LOT of carpet there, a 20 minute drive from my house, and it can be quite lucrative. I do lots of "ground" work too, but the majority is up high. Today a ground level to start, then a 23 story building to encap the halls. I see a vibrant and expanding market with real growth potential as there as a lot of houses putting in hardwood. Works for me!

Heathrow- I'll put some of the stuff I've done together and PM it to you.

Have ya'll got those amazing things called elevators yet?

One of those would make hauling that portable up t flights easy!

We have one in our only two story building here.

That's what those doors are for! I was using telekinesis to get things up to the top. Now I know! What's next? Indoor toilets?

Thanks Willy - appreciate it. Our blocks here are only 13 stories high max, due to tight environmental laws, but still not accessible with a TM.

Find a niche and fill it. That's where the money is.

it appears Willy has found his niche.

Good for you, Willy!!
