And we say wood now, dick is very childish and not what a mature / respectable gentleman would say.

After all there are 3 known ladies on the board now.

The reason I paid cash for most was because I didn't want anything over my head financially. My spectacular wife has a good paying job to and we could live off her salary alone if we had to.

Kip did the financing on my Cleanco/Ford too. Couldn't be easier. I think I'm at 5.9% but the setup was used. I'm pretty sure he could do better than that on a new setup.

Wow so 2% less than Aztec and on a used setup to boot!

Why in the world would anybody that's trying to grow their business pay cash for brand new equipment?
Because, unless you are strapped for every penny, your money in the bank will yield you exactly:
  1. Zip.
  2. Zerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrro.
  3. Nada.
On the other hand if you absolutely need every penny. It makes sense to borrow.
You'll make a lot more money while the machine is working than the interest payment.

Different goals. Different stage of business.

Just wondering...

Those doing a van and tm at the same time, how many years will they let you take? Or how many did you take? 60 months on a van/tm can give ya a pretty high payment.

My tm will be paid off with/at 1900 hours, But now the vans getting rusty.... I'm off schedule!:hopeless:

We used aztec, they were very easy to deal with.

I actually had one financing company call a disty they worked with(while we were negotiating w/them) telling them about other offers we were getting and who we were getting quotes from.

I paid cash for my sub today !!

Having cash on hand sounds better unless you have too much cash. Not having to pay interest = more income !! Theres a positive either way you go.

Not sure if its valid but in the marry past, the best deals were done with van dealerships that were financing the van purchase and piggybacking the machine onto it.
I had them also add about $3,000.00 of chemicals onto it, all of it combined at 0% for 3 or 5 years (I forget how long).

Unfortunately, I think those days are gone.

I think if you have good credit, north of 700 or so, you should probably hunt for a rate around 2.9% for new equipment.

I was happy at 5.9% for my setup because I spent about half what a new rig would cost me.

I can't believe how fast the time is going by. I bet I can pay the Cleanco off next Summer if that's what I decide to do. These decisions are so important to business.

I paid CASH for a brand new Chem Tex Panther 20 (laugh it up jokers). The machine and hoses, reels, tanks, and everything ran me around 13K. I just "needed" a NEW machine back then. I had it installed in a Chevy van that I spent 12K on. So I came out of my pocket with 25K for a Truckmount that I would outgrow quickly. It was also an entry level TM that didn't hold its value.

If I could do it over, I'd put a nice chunk down on the EXACT machine I want and finance the rest. We really could have used some of that cash back then....but having very low overhead helped us out as well.

I leased the van and Pro1200 as a package through Interlink. I gotta check the rate, but it's a 100% business deduction spread over 5 years. I had to look for deductions cause I went on social security (and my wife) this year. I might as lease and write off till I reach 66 and can make unlimited income.

I paid cash for the 2003 Genesis 59, and financed the 2003 Express at 0% for 5 years.
