Trying to figure out this PTO

Steam Action used a similar PTO on their early units...the downside was the odometer in the truck was spinning when you are cleaning...

That would give you (and any other interested party) a more accurate idea of of the condition of the van engine. My WM with 7000 hours on the clock has a tad more wear on the engine than the 80K on the odometer would indicate.

Hi guys:

I've worked on Coit (make their own) machines that use that type PTO. Their odometer did not spin when cleaning. IMO, a clutch driven unit is more efficient, but they are limited in HP, because of slippeage over about 20 HP. So it's necessary to go to that tpye PTO only if spinning a large blower

my pto on the vortex was red and it was a chelsea. apparently they are the ONLY way to go.
