turbo hybrid jets

I am going to replace the jets on my turbo hybrid.

Has 0502 jets on it currently.

Any negatives to going with 0503 jets for higher flow?

Have a fuel oil burner, so heat is not a concern.

I do realize I will go through more water, just thinking it will flush better like high flow jets do on a carpet cleaning wand.

And if 0503 is good, would 0504 (still only 8 flow total) be even better?

Thanks.

Also remember you are using the Turbo at a higher PSI so the flow rate is greater than that of normal carpet cleaning at the same jet size.

My Turbo has 0502 jets on it and it doesn't "feel" like it flows the same pressure (when set at 850 psi) as my Red Line Spinner does with it's 9502 jets. So, I changed them out and putting the 9502 jets on the Turbo made no difference. It still feels weak.

Bucket test to have a measurable starting line. Years ago Bill Hachtmann of Kleenrite showed a "sand test" to compare impact of varying jets and pressure.

Trigger sensitivity has loads to do with what we THINK we are putting out.

Remember when the first Westpak Soft Touch valves first came out?

I couldn't tell if I was at 200 or 800 psi...

Probably different jet angle.
Has been that for several who've had that problem on the boards in the past.

If the jets are turned too much horizontally the result is lots of spin, little floor impact.

If the jets are turned too much vertically the result is reduced or no spin.

I just bought a new turbo and there is no adjustments on the angle, it doesn't feel as strong as my old one. But I'm having issues with my pressure right now so I will see.

I remember my first day with a soft touch valve.
Went out to the truck several times to see if my regulator backed off.

you may be limited in pressure if your running 1/4 hose...

also spray out would be concern ... i would turn up pressure if cleaning faster

You can't push more than 3 gallons through 1/4 hose. However, I definitely believe you could go to larger jets and get better impact and still keep it to 3 gallons. I fooled around with it a little before with good results. When I have painted grout I change out the jets to 95's so they impact a larger area and don't blast off the paint. Works well. By the way I'm sure most already know but the gallon ratings for jets is at 4500 psi.
