Snarky remark about I-Stuff rather than a comment on the machine Keith. Last week a guy I respect for his tech acumen told me his I-Phone was a pretty nice pocket organizer that had a crappy phone app.

The edges of commercial hallways typically don't get much traffic, but I see there is a tool hookup for cutting in edges if needed. This unit is for the jansan market where training is minimal, will compete with wide-vacuum-slot walk-behinds, and compares favorably in that market.

Just one thing to consider: Fred's mentor on how to play was Roger Clemens.
Would it surprise you that as a true Boston boy. I take that as a compliment?

Do I look like I'm surprised? :winky:

Possibly the meanest SOB to ever set foot in a baseball field. Most likely, like Bonds and McGuire, chemically enhanced. But you'd be hard pressed to find a better pitcher in a must win situation.

It will be more or less where the consumer rental market goes given time.

I'm sure the machine works great when following directions and properly maintained.

But that never happens with in-house/janitorial businesses and portables. It always turns into a mess within a year or 2.
My whole business model depends on it actually...

The retirement village bought a carpet cleaning machine because they needed something that was “safer” than us dragging our hoses down the hall, etc. Plus, I charge .35/foot and they wanted to try and save money. So, I hope this will be the ticket to getting back in there on a more regular basis, versus just the rat nasty stuff they call us for now. We encap, but you have to extract, too.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed, because I want to market this machine to motel \ hotels that I quit doing because they didn’t want to pay what I felt was a fair price. Not sure if we didn’t get along because of my price or because I am a girl. No, I’m not joking. I had Mr. Patel tell me women don’t need to be doing this type of work and wanted to deal with my husband because he was sure he would understand why he wasn’t going to pay my price. I told him he had been in America long enough and ought to know better and left. FYI, I won’t market to him. I love it when his washing machine goes out and he has to come down to my laundry to wash the linens. He won’t give the girls money, he has to come in and get the change and put it in the machines. Plus, he doesn’t help them unload or load the van. I’m so not a fan of his.

I plan to agitate with my CRB on all VersaClean jobs.

Testing it out before we go to our first job - the highest building in all of Wilbarger County!

Yes, the tech is in sandals. He stepped on a nail and is headed to the doctor after lunch.

Not the same as using a regular Hoss, Rotovac, etc. Glides along - super easy. Even I can use it! I will never get a job buffing floors.

Can’t tell you about production time, we won’t use it on a job until this afternoon.

I’ll keep you posted. Boys like it so far.

Hi Amy,
Now that it's over a year what has been the experience with machine?
Are you still using it and what sort of productivity rates on open commercial?
