Larry don't hold back tell him exactly how you feel about plastic.

it's not so much about them being plastic..I'm fine with plastic in many applications .
It's the price for those plastic tools that sticks in my craw

and the SS tool is a better cleaning tool than the HM

You're too focused on the cost and not the benefit.

Benefit:
Ergonomic design
Light in weight
Fast Drying

Due to those benefits above you can clean for hours on end and have less fatigue and very little risk of damage from over wetting.

So
that's where the value of the tool equals or exceeds the price. :headbang:

I have only tried the DryMaster 3, so my opinion is not based on long use.

Liked:

  • I liked the flow and I think it is one of the better flushing tools around. It cleans very well.
  • No over spray when you lift off the fabric.
  • The head (what comes in contact with the fabric) is well designed.
  • Moves on fabric very smoothly.
Didn't like:

  • Very long and cumbersome tool. Definitely not ergonomic.
  • In the past the metal lips had a durability problem, not sure if that's been solved. Hopefully it was.
  • I'd rather have a real trigger with a locking mechanism (like the SS tool) and not be forced to run a continuous flow all the time. Yes, the round valve can be adjusted, but that's very slow and when cleaning we need the quickness of a trigger.
  • The plastic round valve just looks like it will not hold up (that's just a feeling), and unlike the SS tool, is not protected (which, knowing me, means that it will be hit and damaged.)
  • Damn it, shorten the tool. In this particular case longer is not better.

I wish those people (yes you Hydra Dudes) will consult with and respond to feedback from cleaners in the field. Surely it will result in much better tools.

It certainly could:

A thong, a sheer push up bra and stiletto heels. Very cool on those hot summer days A stiletto heel is a great spot agitator. And I look quite fetching.

P.S. If they improve the DM3, it could be a great upholstery cleaning tool.
Didn't notice if it had a vacuum relief button.
