Let me be a bit more precise than Lee.

The SS's strong points are as follows...

It's the original and designed by one of the coolest cats in our industry.
Forward spray only.
The Glide/Spraybar is more gentle on delicate fabrics.
Features a locking trigger.

Weak points

If you clean a shit ton of upholstery, you'll have to buy a new clam shell set every few years as the plastic cracks around the well nuts. Cheap so no biggie
The remote pressure adjuster doesn't have a lock so it may move on you mid job.

The Shear Dry positives
The plastic is very clear and has some flex to it, the flex could keep it from cracking around the well nut, but too soon to tell.
The glide is a big more aggressive, which is good for filthy olefins

Weak points

Was an intentional copy, if you care about politics.
The rearward spray is a f'n pita.
The remote pressure adjuster doesn't have a lock so it may move on you mid job.
The glide is a bit more aggressive which aint good on delicates...
