I'm trying to get my friend to sell me his 2007 cds with 60,000 and 500 on the hours meter. Neither one of us has been the first to mention a price. I dont want to offer more than he had in mind and I dont want to insult him either. I have the same van without the salsa but its worn out to hell. the cds runs like new so I would have a spare blower, pump etc and not have to deal with Jon Don for major parts down the road. ( I dropped a gallon of stripper in there last friday and it exploded all over there shiny concrete floors.) Any thoughts?

$20-$30,000 is what I see similar vans going for. Depends on the overall condition. Low mileage and hours is good but if the van has sat around doing nothing for an extended period of time, that's not good. Hopefully it's never been frozen.

He uses it a few times a year and winterizes it every year. He's forgotten more about cleaning and equipment then I will ever know.

For price perspective, the last 2007 CDS we sold was in 2015 for $18k, with 90 thousand miles and over 7,000 hours. It's still in everyday use at another shop.

Pay more for low miles and hours, but remember that anything flexible atrophies just sitting around. Given stellar condition and today's economy $18k might be fair, give it a few months for new equipment to become available and $12-14k would be fair.

If he wants more, he's looking at current prices, but that bulge is about over.

Lockhart would have the guy paying him to take it away.. As for me, the price is up to seller.. You'd need to know a ballpark price to see if it's even worth it for both your guys time..
