Using a cr48 for stone

Can a regular cr48 scrubber be used for stone work? How effective do you feel it is compared to a weighted 175?

I see that the cr48DF is 30lbs heavier and 880rpms instead of 400.

idk. i know others have asked and been told no. you obviously cant speed up the rpm's on the cr48, but you can add 30 LB's to it. as someone suggested on here or the encap forum, i use a diving belt with lead diving weights.
