regardless of filtration, creepy crawlers can be on the roll brush and spread that way

At the end of the report, the reporter clearly states that "experts" DO NOT recommend that anyone should stop vacuuming as it "helps remove many bad contaminants and allergens from your home." She also mentions a few things that can help slow cross contamination: a HEPA filter, disposable refuse bags, and microbial bristles. Having a vacuum that incorporates these elements would probably be a good response to this issue.
