Van mileage help!!

We're looking to add another cargo van and will be looking used.... How many miles is to many??? I hear a lot of talk about people getting 200k miles out of a van?? I mean is like 130k 140k okay or is that way to many??

We got 250k out of our last Ford van. We always buy new however. Risk you take in going used is many work vehicles are driven hard and put away wet. Be careful going used at any mileage.

Only numbers by themselves are arbitrary.

A very well maintained 140,000 is very different than a mostly neglected 140,000.

You can get well maintained , low mileage vans from Avis here. I'm sure it's the same there. They sale off their fleet after so many miles or months not sure which. My second van had only 19k and never gave me any greef.

No service records, no idea, how it was driven, no idea.

My personal truck, 2007 f150 130k miles. I'd drive it anywhere. Uses no oil, leaks none. Drives much like it did new, 75% of the miles have been at 73.5 mph on 300 mile trips.

I've seen some trashed rigs with less than 100k miles. Poor service, driven hard.

So.. it all depends on the van.. Get it check out, then it depends on price.

I personally prefer to buy year old vans with nder 20 k on them.
Last van I bought had 50k, but the price was to good. ($12.5 ) So far no an issue.

Has it had the trans replaced? If not, it's coming. If you have winters where you live, more than likely it will be a rust bucket by the time it hits huge miles.
