Van woes update....

I found a shop to rebuild the tranny for a lot less than I thought. Only 900 of my hard earned dollars will go for transmission rebuild.... Looks like I'l be out of this ordeal for about a grand. Should be back on the road Monday evening. Thank God!

I guess the break between shot gun & muzzle loader has a purpose after all. Now that the season is out, I finally got something worthwhile accomplished. I not only got the van into 2 different repair shops but got the contact information for 15 or so new prospects for my sales letter to be sent to. Complete with references, a gift certificate, business card & a pretty lil' flyer...
So fartargeted letters have pulled 33%. One of the calls was actually just "luck" as they do all their cleaning in house, but the don't have the man power to support it right now & my letter came across his desk at the right time. I'll take it! Cold has pulled a measly 0.45%. Lesson to be learned from this? DO THE LEG WORK!
Lets hope this next round of targeted letters does as well as the first batch.
