I have a customer with about 1900sf of vct, most of it in the open and some behind a counter. He wants me to come in 2 or more times a month to maintain the shine on the floor. Do you charge hourly or Sf for somthing like this? He also has the 1500rpm buffer on location for me to use and lets me use it anytime I need it.

Thank You

usually by the hr...it takes time to figure out how long and such..

if its a 1500 it is probably an electric...and 1900 ft, depending on how shiny and how dirty...roughly 45 mins...

on the flip side,

a 24 or 27" propane would knock that out in about 10 mins

typically i charge $50 an hour for sweep, mop, buff.

i also use a gel shine when its newer, and a restorer when its just scratched to hell but doent need scrubbed up yet.

hope that helps.

figure in your travel time also. so say its 30 min away, and it only takes 1 hour to do i would charge $40

I wouldn't do it for under $100 for mop and buff

$40 isn't worth the time or effort, especially with an electric

where is the Craig guy to tell you it is not proper to mop and buff a floor but it is ok to grind away with a cimex on carpet
