The mushroom switches are very fragile, the threaded plastic is far too brittle for those type of cycles.
The light diode (bulb) in the heat gauge as died on me.
The bulbs on all my gauges are dead except the RPM. No obvious way to replace them. Otherwise the gauges are in good working order.
There are two switches. The push/pull switch controling the pump and a 4 position PTO rpm switch. Both are in working order.
However, only 2 positions on the pto switch are being used "off and run". Speed 1 and 2 have been cut because a previous owner uprageded to a throttle cable instead.
the new ones made by speed hut are lifetime garenteed so if you have a problem with your gauges they will fix it, you have to send it in, they will fix and send it back. as far as the mushroom switches allen-bradely switch are supposed to be the best switches on the market. they are used by nasa on multiple applications on the space shuttle.
Allen-Bradley are the best......you will not find a better switch out there.....I have used them in a lot more tougher places then carpet cleaning machines and they have held up longer then any switch out there....when you start banging and yanking on them sooner or later that will take it toll on anything.....
Bill, I have had no problems with the gauges, they have acted up a couple times, but it ended up being a poor ground on the machine. I like the color coding, it makes training much easier and looks really cool at night.
