What causes a wand to streak on the wet stroke?

Is it wrong jet angle?

Jet distance from the carpet?

I have a new wand and it leaves streaks on most all carpet styles, what can I do to fix it?

Lots of things can cause it including all the things you mentioned
if it's happening on nearly all carpets, turn down the PSI...you may be running too hi PSI for the wand design/jet config

If your using a high flow, especially with a Glide. Ya gotta adjust yur jet bar.

Occasionally I'll bump mine jus right, usually on a step or something and have to adjust it a little.

Yes, I have a glide and its 14" 4 - 2gpm jets.

I'm running it at 550 psi, that is the same a I use on my greenhorn wand and it NEVER streaks.

Jesse;

Sent you a new 4-jet manifold today with the new chrome center support.

It resists rough handling better.

The jet height is also adjustable.

Let us know how it works, after you install it.

It will outclean those Ti wands with our manifold.

No it wont.

You can't run that thing at 12 flow and 600 psi with out soaking the house.

I ever tell ya about the time a woman truck driver called me while running a Rug Doctor in her WOW addicted sons apartment?

It was a Graduation Gift : )

Damn H2O extraction is what it was! I did remove my first furniture stain there, jus to see if I could, lol

Jesse return it and call me and I'll hook you up on a real wand that you don't need to screw with or change or McGyver to make it work. It will work out of the box the first time and every time for the next 30+ years. GUARANTEED...if not send it back and only pay shipping one way...wont be cheap but it will be worth it and then you can tell Larry the same thing Mikey just did. The Bentley will never come close to a TI wand EVER PERIOD. The truth is the truth...

it's actually a very good cleaning wand at LOW pressure ..350 psi and under

350 is about MAX for that wand ...problems start above that

Biggest flaw with that wand is the heel of the head is too far back.
You can jimmyrig those jets and manifold all you want, you can even bond on some wings to control over spray, but until Mytee sells all 20 thousand heads and has enough revenue to pay for a re cast, you still have a wand you can't lean back to get under furniture or clean a staircase with.

It's a faulty design that only John Labarbra can fix. Larry and Cu are trying to be heros by applying lipstick. John needs to quit hiring heros and start looking outside his own company for RnD.

John,

Every manufacturer has problems with equipment.

Here is a photo of a PC Titanium that failed after 3 MONTHS:
View attachment 4376

It is older now, but notice the end jets turned sideways to control overspray.

The SS tube was pop riveted to the Titanium head.

Customer replaced with screws just to make acceptable.

Worst $1000 wand I have ever seen period !

That was the "cheap" TI they made for a year or two, no?
was it '07 or there about when the metal commodities market skyrocketed and Ti's went thru the roof?
so they tried to make a "cheaper" version...the results of which were the POS Ti in your pic

The combination of SS tube and titanium head could have been done much better.

John said a 30 year lifetime.

Larry the difference is they stopped offering those when it became obvious just how bad of an idea that was they also replaced the ones that fell apart. If the wand was 3 months old it should have been returned I believe they replaced most of the aberrations. And I am pretty sure they only offered that for less then a year so if he still has it then his supplier failed him miserably for not getting it replaced when he could have. He can call me and ill get him a replacement for cost.

I would like to know where the code is too.

Anyone have a pic?

I can take a pic tomorrow of mine, but for now, you will find it right in the center of the tube where the tube is welded to the head. They inscribe it by hand on the unit.

Not hard to miss really.

Could be the Jets, Jets clogged, the type of glide if you have one, pressure you're running,etc...
