Water clawing a problem spot videos

Many have probably done something similar, but just in case.....

Here is a spot that was from massaging oil. We cleaned this place last year, spot of course came right out, but no one told me there had been a bunch of massaging oil spilled in this area. It did wick back and no one called me about it. Went for the fix yesterday!

Carpet on pad and on concrete in this case.

We were using alkaline based cleaner for this.

For urine, would use acidic (or a plant stain). Alkaline based because of the oil and also the soil level in this case. You can also to prevent wicking sometimes put a non water based protectant on top of it too....helps to prevent wicking in some cases.

Always be aware of what is below you or you could end up flooding a ceiling below you if you get too carried away!

If you do not have a water claw....go to the hardware store and get a floor drain trap until you can afford one. We call it the poor mans water claw. Will work when needed.

CTI or also know as Pros Choice OSR (odor stain removal)

On the water trap, not always the most professional, but creative. I have found that most of the time a homeowner doesn't care how you get the spot out, just as long as you do....LOL.

But, yes....a professional tool would be better. Can tell you I was way out in the middle of no where one day and had left both water claws with the guys to an extraction on a big water damage....wouldn't you know it....needed a water claw. They had a hardware/general store and grabbed one of these for $18. Worked and people more than happy.

Look up a little town of Bigfork, MN....and then was even further out in the woods.

This is actually a unit you can tell your clients to use if they have a paint spill or something and you can't get there right away.

For clients, I suggest a shower drain that will fit easier on the end of their shop vac. (no picture right now, but have one out in the shop)

Any body having success with ARA from CTI???? Anti resoil agent! It's supposed to encapsulate residues and sticky spots vacuum away and stop rapid resoil.
