Water Extraction Charges.....

Is $100 an hour a reasonable charge for water extracting with a truckmount? Now this is clean water floods.....sump pump failure, footer drains overwhelmed.......not some crap laden sewage. Although we usually never extract unless there is an insurance company involved, we will occasionally do cash customers, with no written guarantee. I don't do the drying part....that's another company.

I'm not privey to the blue book or exactomate pricing.

My opinion- yes, during business hours.

Night, weekends, holidays, a higher fee is possible.

$125 service call, $150 for the first hour and $125 each additional hour. We use the Hydro-x EE on carpet with pad and dry everything in place most of the time.
Remember extracting water is the most important part of a drying job.

I use the Water Claw.....I've got the 2 big sizes.......then extract with the wand. I've been hearing a lot of complaints from friends and others, that "how can they charge so much?". I try to explain the costs involved with WD, but their not convinced that it's worth that much per hour.

Well, let them get out their shop vac's and K-mart box fans and do the drying themselves. Oh, and maybe they won't worry about the hidden moisture in the walls, because they can't see it.

Back to watching the snow.........15 inches expected here in NE Ohio between today and tomorrow.

RW I charge $100 per hr. and never get any complaints. The clock starts when I pull in the drive. $100 to save the carpet is a deal. Ask them how much it would cost to replace it

Now You See It.......But Where

During business hours we charge $125 for the first hour and $100 for each additional hour and that includes drive time to and from the job. When it is after hours we charge $150 for the first hour and $125 for each additional including drive time. We do all of our water extractions with the large water claw and it works great.
