How often should I recharge my manual water-softener for my truckmount? I have a Hydroforce Water Softener. Also, often should I “flush out” my system? My distributor doesn’t know how to recharge or service it after selling it to me....before I bought it they said they can show me how to recharge and when that day came, they didn’t have a clue on how to do it.

Btw...with salt version do y’all recommend and from where?? Home Depot salt pellets took to long adding handful at a time...

I charge mine once a month or about 90 hours. I use the smallest grain softener salt possible. Take the top cap off, put a funnel in and pour the salt in ........very slowly. I use a toothbrush to clean the threads and reinstall the cap.

Follow the instructions for what to do before and after. If they didnt give you the instructions I can scan it for you.

Backflush every other month

Watch your QD tips. If they're bright and brassy, it's doing its job. If they dull up or start getting white scale, it's time to recharge.
