Water supply shut off

Who is using what for garden hose shut off. Most are junk plastic , the old metal type are gone. The new metal are heavy , but the small plastic shut off come lose to easy. I tried to buy the old style from years back, but they sent the new style. Most of the new have a plastic connection that fail after a short time. The china japan JUNK is not worth the money. Still looking for made in the USA. jz,

Best shut offs I ever purchased were from Butler many many years ago.
Not sure what they sell today.

we got a great Ace hardware near us...
i been using this one on the outside hose
it gets dropped on the pavement all the time
after i drain the hose it stays on all winter

why whats on the insides?

Brass with black rubber? The one I bought lost the turn off knob. Not sure if it the same deal doe. ???

I bought a bunch of the metal ones at Lowes several years ago.

Still great, but any good ball valve would work fine.
