That is how I clean my blower. I run a gallon of mixed up prespray thru mine once a month and run it untill dry and spray lube.

Yeah, just run it till it gets hot enough that all the moisture is out. I think the only time it would be an issue is when your tank is over filled, and your TM shuts down, and you let it sit for a week..
I've ran a couple of gals of water through my blower, but I also cleaned my heat exchanger soon after. If your going to flush out your blower like this, I would say that would be the ONLY time I would spray Wd-40 into my blower...

It depends on the configuration of any post blower heat exchanger cores. The stuff that passes thru the blower will eventually turn the core into a brick.

his profile says he runs a Steamway.
So there will be no concerns with HX'rs
(unless he's so unfortunate to own a 9100  )
I don't know if they run blower exhaust thru the HX'r

when dirty soapy water or foam gets sucked thru our blower
(usually cause we forgot to fully close the dump valve  )
We run fresh clear water thru it while the blower is running at operating temps.

Don't pour large volumes in fast...cause water doesn't compress like air.
Just a slow stream of water for a minute or two, then let it run for 10 minutes or so to dry
Giver 'er a squirt of WD or some other blower juice after if it makes you happy

your blower should be fine.
They're a very durable and tough component ...they'll take a lot of abuse

The Genny blows over frequently, so I just let 'er run for about 10 minutes to dry it out. Then maybe a shot of WD.
