I have an Apex, roughly 12 years old and it runs fine.
On my first job today when I started it up I noticed water shooting out from underneath the van, for about 3 - 4 minutes. Then it stopped, unit ran fine.
When I got back a couple hours later I went inside the van and found no water on the floor. The overflow hose from the water box is cut into the floor.
I believe that is where it came from but why?

Thanks

why did it leak from the water box?
Not familiar with what mechanism on apex stops water flow from overfilling.
But my WAG is it wasn't operating correctly and allowed the WB to overfill, then started working
(or you were using enough water while cleaning it couldn't overfill)

3 reasons:
1. Water in the float ball (most likely not otherwise it would be happening all the time)
2. Brass float is just worn out (possible as it is brass)
3. Float seat is bad (most likely as this is just rubber)
